A few items taken from my personal sketchbook over the past few years. This is only Volume 1. if you enjoy it, please let me know and I will make an effort to add more volumes soon!
Here are sketches of some interesting images I found in magazines. On the left is a close up of "KING KONG" I did with a ballpoint pen and red color pencil. On the right is a sketch of former heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis done with Prismacolor markers.
These are portraits I did when I first got the program Corel Painter. I enjoy doing portraits, and I think these are okay for my first go with a new art program. On the left is one of my favorite musicians, the incomparable Johnny Cash. On the right is of course everyone's favorite Frank Oz character, Yoda!
These are various portraits and sketches. On the left are quick sketches of Star Wars characters, in the center is a digital portrait of my wife Joanna, and on the right is a caricature of myself done a few years ago which was a lot of fun.
These are various quick sketches and portraits. On the left is Don Corleone from The Godfather (Marlon Brando), in the center is Don Corleone from The Godfather 2 (Robert DeNiro), and on the right is "The Greatest" aka Muhammad Ali... all done with markers.
These are more sketches and random items of things I like to draw for fun. On the right are some of my past family Christmas card designs which I enjoy doing every year. I'm also showing my original concept sketches to give you a look at my creative process.
Here is a character study sheet I did for "Pizza Man," who is a wiseguy from a project I helped co-create called "The Outfit”, which is an animated show about mob guys. I still hope to get this off the ground one day!
